May 2016

Hi and welcome to your "start of the boating season" edition of your signal.

There has been a lot of activity in and around the yard, with tarps coming off, motor swaps, high pressure washing, polishing and of course the ever popular "bottom painting". Congrats to those who braved the cool ( read COLD ) weather to accomplish these tasks.

A tip of the THYC burgee to Ron and Crystal for being the first to have their boat in the water this year, and we all hope that you enjoy your boat so much that you might also be the "last boat out" as well.

The Fri night dinners are again still very popular, and you can host a dinner whenever you want, (there are dates available just for you) just let June, Mary, Adam or Ursula know what night you would like. There is lots of help available if you would like help in hosting a dinner.
Don't forget that the BIG dingy race is set for the 22nd of May! GO team GO ! This year WE R GONNA WIN !!

On behalf of the Board of Directors and membership we would like to WELCOME all our new members aboard. I don't want to mention names for fear of missing someone, BUT don't be strangers, we welcome you to come on down for the Thurs night band sessions or the Fri night dinners or just drop in for a coffee (or drink) and sit an chit - chat at the bar on Sat or Sun. (or any night, for that matter).

In the mean time lets go boating
Hope to see you on the bank or in the club

Warm regards
